Government-Scale Energy Management System (EMS)

The Challenge

Integrating diverse energy sources—wind, solar, and the traditional grid—at a state level (Maharashtra and Andhra Pradesh) presents significant synchronization challenges. Managing the purchase of energy from multiple vendors and ensuring stable storage and discharge cycles in large-scale battery units requires high-precision scheduling to prevent grid instability.

What We Built

• Led by Ali Mohammed (Team Lead), we developed a robust Energy Management System (EMS) for critical infrastructure projects for the Maharashtra Government and SECI, Andhra Pradesh.
• The system acts as a central orchestrator, managing power flow from renewables and the grid, storing it in battery units, and discharging it based on complex scheduled requirements.

The Result

Efficiency Optimization: Significant increase in overall system efficiency through intelligent power routing. Grid Reliability: Enabled stable renewable power distribution for government utility sectors. Scalable Infrastructure: Designed to handle large-scale energy storage and distribution for two major Indian state initiatives.
